Windows Vista ReadyBoost

Microsoft Windows Vista uses can take advantage of a cool new feature from Microsoft’s latest operating system.

Readyboost allows you to use a USB Memory Stick as extra RAM (Random Access Memory’ on your machine.

To use this feature plug in a USB Memory Stick then go to;

  • Start > Computer and right-click on the USB Memory Stick in question (This can often be called something like ‘Removable Disk (K:)) and select ‘Properties’.
  • Then you need to select the ‘ReadyBoost’ tab.

  • Configuring Windows ReadyBoost

  • You can then choose the amount of space you want to dedicate to the ReadyBoost feature.
